As Freshman year had started, it had ended just as fast. This full year passed by really quickly without even realizing it. I feel that the adjustment process had worked pretty smoothly instead of being very clueless for the whole first semester. In the first semester of freshman year I quickly joined clubs and became involved at events at Queens College. Getting involved at Queens College is the only way I would have been introduced to the Freshman Year Initiative. This class just had a very motivational touch to it. I would walk into the class and feel inspired. This was by farthest one of my favorite classes this semester as I learned a little about everything in here.
Some of my friends have said that this is a silly class, however I feel strongly opposed to that idea. This class had offered motivation, contacts, direction, and insight. Not only did I go to this class and become motivated, I know that I have learned many things about the different fields of study, how they help, and the guest speakers have shared with us real life experiences in their profession. I feel this class was very useful in helping me learn things that you don’t learn from reading a textbook. We received a lot of useful tools in this class that are going to help me make decisions and do better when faced with stressful situations.
